Artist woodworker “The Root Man” hand builds furniture and sculptures from stunning root bases. He unearths forgotten roots from the woodland floor that are likely hundreds of years old and sets to meticulously cleaning, sanding and finishing them . Every twist and crevice is softened and illuminated. Using the natural suggestion of the roots he then encompasses a functionality or completes them in their sculptural form.
