Description
The colour combination struck me as so ugly when I began this painting. Rather than fight it I continued in this vane, adding the most contrasting and luminous colours to the foliage. In the centre, two rocks sit in communion as an overhanging branch listens in. With the purest ugly and discordant intentions, the landscape is unified and in fact now the paint sits quite peacefully.
Acrylic on canvas, A3 size and unframed.
